Common use of Leave Without Pay for Personal Needs Clause in Contracts

Leave Without Pay for Personal Needs. (a) Subject to operational requirements, leave without pay for a period of up to three (3) months will be granted to an employee for personal needs. Leave granted under this subsection shall be counted for the calculation of "continuous employment" for the purpose of calculating severance pay and "service" for the purpose of calculating vacation leave. Time spent on such leave shall be counted for pay increment purposes.
