LEAVES OF ABSENCE FOR UNION BUSINESS. 29.01 A non-probationary employee, who is appointed or elected to do business for the Union, shall be granted leave of absence, without pay, to carry out such business. The employees shall continue to accumulate seniority for the period covered by this Agreement, as applicable and, upon giving the Company one week’s notice in writing of his/her intention to return to work, shall be reinstated in the job held prior to the leave of absence or its equivalent at the same rate of pay. Up to two (2) employees shall be eligible to take leave under this Article (29.01) at any one time.
