Common use of Legislative Leave Clause in Contracts

Legislative Leave. A teacher who is elected to the State Legislature or Congress shall be entitled to an unpaid leave of absence for the length of the term or terms in office. 1. The teacher on such leave shall notify the Board of the date of the intended return at least twelve (12) weeks in advance. 2. The teacher on such leave shall be entitled to return to employment at the end of the leave, but shall not be entitled to any of the other benefits accorded in this contract.

The teacher on such leave shall be entitled to return to employment at the end of the leave, but shall not be entitled to any of the other benefits accorded in this contract.three

Legislative Leave. 9.16.1 A teacher who is elected to the State Legislature Legislature, Congress, or Congress a State Association office shall be entitled to an unpaid leave of absence for no more than one (1) year at a time not to exceed four (4) years. Return to the length of District is subject to a position being open for which the term or terms in officereturning teacher is qualified. 1. The teacher on such leave shall notify the Board of the date of the intended return at least twelve (12) weeks in advance. 2. The teacher on such leave shall be entitled to return to employment at the end of the leave, but shall not be entitled to any of the other benefits accorded in this contract.

A teacher who is elected to the State Legislature Legislature, Congress or Congress any other full-time elected office shall be entitled to an unpaid leave of absence for the length of the one (1) term or terms in office. 1office (Education Code section 44801). The teacher on such leave shall notify the Board District of his/her intended return by March 15 of the date of the intended return at least twelve (12) weeks in advancecalendar year he/she would return. 2. The teacher on such leave shall be entitled to return to employment at the end of the leave, but shall not be entitled to any of the other benefits accorded in this contract.
