Legislative Leave. A teacher who is elected to the State Legislature or Congress shall be entitled to an unpaid leave of absence for the length of the term or terms in office. 1. The teacher on such leave shall notify the Board of the date of the intended return at least twelve (12) weeks in advance. 2. The teacher on such leave shall be entitled to return to employment at the end of the leave, but shall not be entitled to any of the other benefits accorded in this contract.
