Levels Definitions. Skill Level A (a) An employee at this level: (i) works under direct supervision either individually or in a team environment; and (ii) understands and undertakes basic quality control/assurance procedures including the ability to recognise basic quality deviation/faults. (iii) An employee with 0 to 1 years service / experience who has or shall be trained to perform the indicative tasks listed. The employee shall agree to undergo training provided to reach the skill levels required for these indicative tasks. (b) Indicative tasks include but not limited to: • general housekeeping; • repetition work on automatic, semi-automatic or single purpose machines or equipment; • assembles components using basic written, spoken and/or diagrammatic instructions in an assembly environment; • ability to measure accurately using gauges and meters; • maintains quality, waste and output records; • performs visual inspection of product to ensure quality • basic test functions; • operates hand operated transport and lifting devices; • trimming / cutting / gluing / sealing / assembling / labelling / wrapping and/or packing finished goods; • operates machinery that requires basic set up skills; • operate granulating or reclaiming machine (injection and blow moulding). (a) An employee at this level: (i) is responsible for the quality of own work; (ii) works under routine supervision either individually or in a team environment; (iii) exercises discretion within their level of skills and training; and (iv) is able to perform tasks in all areas at Skill Level A and exercises skill knowledge and discretion to a higher level. (v) An employee with1 to 3 years service / experience who has or shall be trained to perform the indicative tasks listed. The employee shall agree to undergo training provided to reach the skill levels required for these indicative tasks. (b) Indicative tasks may include but not limited to: • operates with flexibility between assembly/process stations and is able to perform Level A tasks in all areas; • operates machinery and equipment, including removal of product jams and re- starting machine safely after stoppage; • changeover and adjust position of labels on all machines; • basic inventory control in the context of a production process; • basic computer operation and keyboard skills; • operation of mobile equipment including pedestrian fork-lifts, hand trolleys, pallet trucks and overhead cranes; • ability to measure accurately using gauges and meters and r...
