SKILLS AND TRAINING. (a) Subject to the availability of funds, the Board, in each school year, shall pay the cost of tuition and the books required of employees to pursue a program leading to qualifications as a fourth class stationary engineer or other courses approved by the Board. Any funds granted to an employee for such purpose shall be in accordance with the following:
(i) the applicant shall have a minimum of three (3) years experience with the Board;
(ii) applications shall be submitted in writing not later than May 31 to the

SKILLS AND TRAINING. 26.1 The CPS expects the CONTRACTOR to provide training opportunities to their staff in line with the Governments ‘Promoting Skills through Public Procurement’ initiative.
26.2 Contractors are encouraged to register and obtain membership of the ‘Investors in People’ (IIP) programmes or equivalent.
26.3 The CPS requires the CONTRACTOR to:-
SKILLS AND TRAINING. Evotec will ensure (i) that its staff employed in providing the Services have the necessary skills and training to provide the Services, and (ii) that Evotec’s facilities and equipment used by the staff to provide the Services are of an appropriate standard.
SKILLS AND TRAINING. XXXXXX will ensure (a) that its staff employed in providing Services have the necessary skills and training to provide the Services and (b) that XXXXXX’x facilities and equipment used by the staff to provide the Services meet industry standards.
SKILLS AND TRAINING. The Releasing Party acknowledges that he, she or the minor for whom he or she is signing has the skills, qualifications, physical abilities and training necessary to engage in the Activities. The Releasing Party agrees that if he or she has any questions as to what skills, qualifications or training are necessary to properly participate in the Activities, singularly or collectively, then they shall direct such questions to the Facility management before engaging in any Activities.
SKILLS AND TRAINING. The Contractor shall provide capable personnel with qualifications, experience levels, security clearances, and necessary licenses, certifications, and training required by federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Training necessary to ensure that personnel performing under this contract maintain the knowledge and skills to successfully perform the required functions is the responsibility of the Contractor. Training necessary to maintain professional certifications is the responsibility of the Contractor and associated costs may not be directly charged to the Government.
SKILLS AND TRAINING. (a) Employees shall be paid in accordance with the salary range detailed in Schedule 2, Table A of this Agreement which recognises and rewards the achievement and part- achievement of certificate qualifications.
(b) The Grade into which an employee is placed shall be based on a consistent process of recognition of prior learning. This recognition shall be assessed against course competencies as developed by the Department of Technical and Further Education (TAFE), or other recognised training organisation (RTO).
(c) Further progression beyond the initial placement shall be through the annual salary / skills assessment system. The annual salary skills system recognises the employees’ acquisition and use of skills on the job.
(d) All Beach Cleaning employees covered by this Agreement who apply for First Aid training through the Council’s training calendar shall be eligible to participate in this training. However there shall be a limited number of employees (as agreed with the Manager) who receive payment for designated first aid duties.
(e) In accordance with Council’s Training and Employment Development Policy employees covered by this Agreement shall be encouraged to undertake courses relevant to their position which lead to progression through the grades of the salary system. Where practicable, Council shall facilitate the required training.

(iii) selection shall be made by a committee comprised of equal numbers of employees and the Board's administrative officials but not more than three (3) of each;
(iv) the committee shall make recommendations to the Director of Education taking into consideration the recommendation of the applicant's manager and the relative lengths of service of the applicants.
SKILLS AND TRAINING. Skills and training are essential for people to participate and advance in the workforce. The ACTU and BCA are also parties to the Statement of Common Interests on Skills and Training that also includes the Ai Group and ACCI. To deliver a high-quality labour force through skills and training that meets our immediate and future needs, those four parties called for, in summary, the following practical reform suggestions:

2. Reinvigorating and adapting our apprenticeship system
3. Investing in vocational education and training
4. Guaranteeing foundational skills

(iii) selection shall be made by a committee comprised of equal numbers of employees and the Board's administrative officials but not more than three (3) of each;
(iv) the committee shall make recommendations to the Director of Education taking into consideration the recommendation of the applicant's manager and the relative lengths of service of the applicants.
(b) If the funds available are insufficient, the committee may apportion the available funds among the applicants.
(c) The Board will make every reasonable effort to provide eligible employees with the opportunity to obtain the required steam time by:
(i) establishing a training centre(s) at one/two secondary schools with registered steam plants;
(ii) reserving one of the assistant caretaker positions at such training centre for the assignment of eligible employees on a revolving basis;
(iii) paying eligible employees while assigned to the training centre the regular basic wage rate received just prior to such assignment; and
(iv) temporarily filling positions held by such employees during the training period without posting the vacancy.
