LIBEL Sample Clauses

LIBEL. If a libel, complaint or similar process be filed against the Ship or the Ship be otherwise attached, levied upon or taken into custody by virtue of any legal proceeding in any court, the Shipowner will promptly notify the Mortgagee thereof by cable, facsimile or telex, confirmed by letter, at its address, as specified in this Deed, and within fifteen (15) days of such filing, attachment, levy or taking into custody will cause the Ship to be released and all liens thereon other than this Deed and the Mortgage and the liens securing the obligations under the Security Agreements and the Working Capital Guarantee to be discharged and will promptly notify the Mortgagee thereof in the manner aforesaid. In the event the Ship is levied upon or taken into custody or detained by any authority whatsoever, the Shipowner agrees forthwith to notify the Mortgagee thereof by telex, confirmed by letter. The Shipowner will notify the Mortgagee within forty-eight (48) hours after it has become known to the Shipowner of any average or salvage incurred by the Ship.
LIBEL. Unless otherwise ordered by a Court, the employer shall pay all legal (employer approved counsel) and court costs of any action initiated against an employee by virtue of their good faith performance of employment duties when authorized and approved by the employer. No employee shall lose salary or benefits for absences during the legal proceedings of any libel action.
LIBEL. 3.1 The Writer shall alert the Editor to special circumstances regarding a story that could present legal risks to the Publication/Client. In the case of a libel action, the Writer shall support the Publication/Client morally and by appearing for the defence, if requested.
LIBEL. 10.1 Where advisable, the Publisher/Client will hire a lawyer to review the manuscript for libel implications. 10.2 In the case of a libel action, the Publisher/Client will morally support the Writer. If the Writer requests it, the Publisher/Client will pay the costs of the Writer’s defence. Where appropriate, the Publisher/Client will provide the Writer with a separate lawyer.

In the event a Vessel is levied upon or taken into custody or detained by any authority whatsoever, the related Shipowner agrees forthwith to promptly notify the Mortgagee thereof by email or fax, confirmed by letter. Each Shipowner will notify the Mortgagee within forty-eight (48) hours after it has become known to such Shipowner of any average or salvage incurred by any of its Vessels.
LIBEL if a libel be filed against the Vessel or the Vessel be otherwise attached, levied upon or taken into custody by virtue of any legal proceedings in any Court, to promptly notify the Mortgagee thereof by telex or fax confirmed by a letter at its office as herein referred to and within thirty (30) days cause the Vessel to be released and all liens thereon to be discharged except for this Mortgage and promptly notify the Mortgagee within 48 (forty-eight) hours after is has become known to the Mortgagor of any average or salvage incurred by the Vessel.
LIBEL. Before any suit libel can be brought against a newspaper, other a libel of, or concern ing a female, the party aggrieved must, at least three days before filing his complaint, serve notice on the publisher of such newspaper at the principal office of its publication, specifying the statement to be false and defamatory, and then if on the trial it appears that the article was published in good and its falsity was to a mis in regard to the and a full and fair; retraction of the erroneous statement was published in the next issue of the paper, or in the case of a daily paper within days after the mistake was brought to the attention of the publisher, in as conspicuous a place and type as the original article, the plaintiff will be entitled to recover only such damage as he can show he has sustained to his property, business, trade, profession or occupation.

  • RETALIATION The Landlord is prohibited from making any type of retaliatory acts against the Tenant including but not limited to restricting access to the Premises, decreasing or cancelling services or utilities, failure to repair appliances or fixtures, or any other type of act that could be considered unjustified.

  • Indictment The indictment or institution of any legal process or proceeding against, any Loan Party or any Subsidiary thereof, under any federal, state, municipal, and other criminal statute, rule, regulation, order, or other requirement having the force of law for a felony; or

  • Harassment The Employer and the Union recognize the right of employees to work in an environment free from harassment, including sexual harassment, as defined by the Employer’s harassment policy.

  • Behaviour No obscene or insulting language or disorderly behaviour shall be permitted. This includes any form of entertainment that may be considered lewd or inappropriate for a public place or that may offend or cause embarrassment to others.

  • Complaint To commence a proceeding, the complaining party (or parties) shall provide by certified mail, return receipt requested, a written Complaint to the BCBSA Corporate Secretary (which shall also constitute service on BCBSA if it is a respondent) and to any Plan(s) and/or Controlled Affiliate(s) named therein. The Complaint shall contain:

  • No Harassment Contractor does not engage in unlawful harassment, including sexual harassment, with respect to any persons with whom Contractor may interact in the performance of this Agreement, and Contractor takes all reasonable steps to prevent harassment from occurring.
