License Terms of Use. The ECODESIGN company engineering & management consultancy GmbH (ECO) in Vienna, Austria is the rightful owner of the copyright and property rights pertaining to the ECODESIGN+ software, related databases and manual. ECO has obtained all necessary licenses for the use of third party data. ECO grants the non-exclusive right to use the software during the duration of the license for training purposes and assessing the Carbon Footprint of products within the organizations internal tasks, training and product improvement. Licensees are not entitled to modify the software and may not assign their rights under this agreement to any third parties without the written permission of ECO. Any use of the Product Carbon Footprint assessment results calculated with the ECODESIGN+ software to be documented for internal or external communication has to be cited as a literary quote such as "Calculated with the ECODESIGN+ software — xxx.xxxxxxxxxxxxx.xxx" followed by the month and year the calculation was made. Please note that there are certain requirements for the communication of carbon footprint assessment results to third parties (e.g. the licensee’s customers) and that the software does not fit the requirements of every possible communication scenario, because a certification or a claim of conformance might be required, as well as an additional documentation or other requirements are demanded.
