Common use of Loss of Driver’s License Clause in Contracts

Loss of Driver’s License. Employees are required to hold a Commercial Drivers License (CDL) recognized by the State of Minnesota and are to have it in their possession at all times. For the purpose of this Agreement “loss of license” shall include any reason for the employee not having a CDL, including failure to renew. The procedures below apply to loss of a CDL while in the employment of the City of Minneapolis. Final determination of status and severity of penalty shall be determined by the Minnesota Department of Transportation and may escalate or deescalate the penalties.
