Common use of Maintenance of Seniority Clause in Contracts

Maintenance of Seniority. Seniority shall be maintained, but shall not accrue, during: a) Periods of unpaid leaves of absence over six months b) Periods on the re-employment list due to a return from prolonged illness up to 3 years c) Appointment to an out-of-scope position subject to Article 8.8 d) Lay-off over three months to a maximum of 24 months
