Common use of MANAGEMENT AND UNION STEWARDS MEETING Clause in Contracts

MANAGEMENT AND UNION STEWARDS MEETING. (a) Upon request, a person or persons designated by the Employer and empowered to act on a subject will meet with the Union Stewards on a monthly basis, to review problems that may arise concerning the application and operation of the Collective Agreement. It is agreed that the Union staff representative may attend these meetings from time to time. (b) The timing of the meeting referred to in paragraph (a) above shall be mutually agreed to between the Employer and the Chief Shop Xxxxxxx, and shall be consistent with the needs of the operation. A Shop Xxxxxxx, who is otherwise scheduled to be working at the time the meeting is to be held, shall be entitled to leave his/her work duties to attend the meeting without loss of regular pay. (c) Minutes shall be kept as a record of the matters discussed during these meetings.
