Mandatory Departmental Nursing Staff Meetings. Nurses on a day off or working 12 night shift shall be compensated at the rate of one-and-one-half times the regular rate for time 13 attending mandatory departmental nursing staff meetings. Nurse Managers will schedule each 14 departmental meeting for their department. Nurses who are scheduled to work on the day of a 15 required staff meeting or otherwise excused, will read the minutes for that staff meeting within ten 16 days for the purpose of meeting the required attendance rule.

  • Membership Meetings At the request of the Union the University agrees to grant a two (2) hour period twice a calendar year for purposes of a regular membership meeting. The University agrees to grant time off from work without loss of pay to those Employees regularly scheduled to work during that time.

  • Professional Meetings Employees should be encouraged to and may, with the approval of the supervisor, attend professional meetings, conferences, and activities. Subject to the availability of funds, the employee's expenses in connection with such meetings, conferences, or activities shall be reimbursed in accordance with the applicable provisions of State law and university rules.
