Maternity and Adoption Leave. A. A permanent employee shall, upon request, be granted a leave of absence for maternity/paternity without pay or increment as deemed necessary. In the event the employee plans to request an extension of said leave, the employee shall make the request to the Board at least thirty (30) days in advance of termination of their initial leave of absence. Said leave may be extended up to one (1) full year with Board approval.
