May Omit Grievance Steps. Where an employee alleges that he/she has been suspended or discharged in violation of Article 10.01, he/she may within twenty (20) working days of the date on which he/she was notified in writing of the reason for his/her suspension or discharge, invoke the grievance procedure including adjudication, and for the purpose of a grievance under Article 7 (Grievance Procedure) Step One of the grievance procedure shall be omitted. A copy of the grievance shall be sent to the Director of Human Resources.
