Common use of Meeting and Appeal Clause in Contracts

Meeting and Appeal. An involuntary transfer or reassignment shall be made only after a meeting between the teacher involved and the Supervisor of Personnel and Superintendent, at which time the teacher shall be notified of the reason therefor. In the event that a teacher objects to the reassignment at the meeting, upon the written request of the teacher, the matter shall be referred to the Board to be resolved. The Board shall meet within thirty (30) days after the request and shall render its decision within fifteen (15) days thereafter. The teacher shall have the right to attend the hearing.
