Merit Salary Adjustments (MSA). A. Employees shall receive annual merit salary adjustments (MSA) in accordance with Government Code Section 19832 and applicable Department of Personnel Administration rules.
B. The employee shall be informed in writing of denial ten (10) working days prior to the proposed effective date of the merit salary adjustment.
C. Denial of the MSA shall be subject to the grievance and arbitration procedure.
Merit Salary Adjustments (MSA). Movement between steps in the salary range shall be paid upon merit and effective performance. Upon written recommendation of the appropriate supervisor, an employee who is eligible for a MSA may be moved to the next step of the salary range effective on the due date after completion of the required qualifying service after appointment, last MSA, promotion, or reclassification.
