Middle Schools/Middle Grades. 1. Beginning with the 2001-2002 school year, the operational definition of middle schools/middle grades for purposes of this Agreement shall include facilities which house grades six (6) and/or seven (7), and/or eight (8). Teachers are to be organized into interdisciplinary core teams, meet regularly in a common planning period during the school day, and instruct a common group of stu- dents. All student and teacher scheduling, profes- sional development, and curriculum shall be developed to reflect this definition of middle schools/middle grades.

  • MIDDLE SCHOOLS 1. Where there are no negotiated provisions concerning the implementation or operation of a middle school program, this article shall govern the implementation or operation of a middle school program in a school district.

  • Middle School At the request of the Superintendent, a middle school teacher may volunteer on a semester basis to teach all the student contact time and be paid one-sixth (1/6) of his/her salary for the semester. This section shall not be used to circumvent the hiring of additional full time teachers.

  • COVID-19 Residents acknowledge that in March 2020 the World Health Organization declared a global pandemic of the virus leading to COVID-19.   • Field Trips Orange COUNTY funds may not be used to support any overnight and/or out of Central Florida travel, unless approved by the COUNTY’S Manager of the CCC or designee in advance.
