Common use of Military and War Leave Clause in Contracts

Military and War Leave. An employee who is a member of a reserve unit of the armed forces shall be entitled to a leave of absence for military training for a period of not more than fifteen (15) workdays (pro-rated for part-time employees) in any calendar year without loss of pay or charge to any leave. Leave due to call-up to active military duty during a national or international crisis or conflict shall be granted to an employee for up to two (2) years. Employees may request the opportunity to adjust his/her work schedule to accommodate unit training assembly (drill schedules). Military Leave shall be granted accordance with applicable law. A returning veteran who was called to active military duty in the armed forces is eligible for reinstatement, per applicable State and Federal laws.
