Minimum/Maximum/Additional Space. The minimum amount of floor space available to Pathnet at the time of the initial application will be twenty-five (25) square feet of caged collocation space or one (1) single bay in the case of cageless collocation. The maximum amount of space available in a specific wire center or access tandem to Pathnet will be limited to the amount of existing suitable space which is technically feasible to support the collocation arrangement requested. Existing suitable space is defined as available space in a wire center or access tandem which does not require the addition of AC/DC power, heat and air conditioning, battery and/or generator back-up power and other requirements necessary for provisioning collocation services. Additional space to provide for caged, cageless and/or adjacent collocation will be provided on a per request basis, where available. Additional space can be requested by Pathnet by completing and submitting a new application form and the applicable non-refundable engineering fee set forth in Appendix G described in Section 6.1. GTE will not be required to lease additional space when available space has been exhausted.

The maximum amount of space available in a specific wire center or access tandem to GLOBALEYES will be limited to the amount of existing suitable space which is technically feasible to support the collocation arrangement requested. GTE will not deny a collocation request if only unused, unconditioned space is available for collocation. Subject to technical feasibility limitations, GTE will modify the unused, unconditioned space into suitable, unused space and then permit the CLEC to collocate in that space. Existing suitable space is defined as available space in a wire center or access tandem which does not require the addition of AC/DC power, heat and air conditioning, battery generator back-up power and other requirements necessary for provisioning collocation services. Additional space to provide for caged, adjacent collocation will be provided on a per request basis, where feasible, and where space is being efficiently used. Additional space can be requested by GLOBALEYES by completing and submitting a new application form and the applicable non-refundable engineering fee set forth in Appendix G described in Section 6.1. GTE will not be required to lease additional space when available space has been exhausted.

  • Work Load The professional obligation of academic employees comprises both scheduled and non-scheduled activities. The Guild and the District recognize that it is part of the professional responsibility of faculty to carry out their duties in an appropriate manner and place. As part of this responsibility faculty are expected to play an important role in the recruitment and retention of students, campus and departmental governance, program review, accreditation, planning and mentoring. Faculty commitment to retention will be demonstrated by informing students that they are to talk with the instructor prior to dropping the course. Faculty are encouraged to include a statement to this effect in their course syllabi. While it is understood that course syllabi content falls within the purview of the individual faculty member’s academic freedom, the parties also understand that items required to be part of syllabi in order to maintain college or continuing education accreditation must also be included. Tenured/tenure-track faculty who have less than a full-time contract are not eligible to work any additional assignments including long-term substitution (day-to-day substitution is allowed provided the limits specified in Section 5.2.1.3 are not exceeded). Faculty assignments shall be made in the following priority order: Tenured/tenure-track, pro- rata, overload, Priority of Assignment (POA) adjunct faculty assignments, then non-POA adjunct faculty.
