Common use of Minimum Time Clause in Contracts

Minimum Time. 19.01 An employee ordered to report to work during his regular workweek, Monday to Friday, and who so reports at the specified time shall receive a minimum of eight (8) hours work or if eight (8) hours work is furnished, a minimum of eight (8) hours pay at the straight time rate, unless the employee quits, voluntarily lays off or is suspended or discharged prior to the completion of eight (8) hours work. 19.02 An employee ordered to report to work on Saturday and who so reports at the specified time shall receive a minimum of four (4) hour work or if four (4) hours work is not furnished, a minimum of four (4) hours pay at the overtime rate, unless the employee quits, voluntarily lays off or is suspended or discharged prior to the completion of four (4) hours work.
