In these circumstances the shortest direct road route will determine the 50km mark. For travel in excess of the 50km employees using their own vehicle will be compensated for consideration of the ‘incidental expenses actually incurred’ at the rate of 45 cents per kilometre. It is further agreed that when multiple employees are travelling to a site together this allowance will only be paid to the employee who is actually driving the vehicle and actually incurring the expense.
Excess Travelling Time. Where an employee is required to perform work at a place which is outside a 30km radius of the employee’s residence he/she shall be paid for all time reasonably spent (to the nearest one quarter hour) in travelling to and from such work, in excess of the time spent in travelling to and from the 30km radius. The rate of pay for travelling time shall be the ordinary rate. In the event that an Interpreter/Translator is engaged on distant work, that is required to travel to a work location and remain away from his/her usual residence, he/she shall be reimbursed for all travelling expenses incurred over and above those prescribed above and shall be paid travelling time (to the nearest one quarter hour) at the ordinary rate, for any travel time in excess of one hour and up to a maximum of six hours. In the above circumstances the ITC will determine the mode of transport to be used. * On site interpreting carried out at hospitals, courts, schools, police, surgeries, WorkCover, agencies etc.

Excess Travelling Time. The provisions of clause 18 - Excess Travelling Time apply to an employee who is in a restriction situation for travelling time involved in a recall to duty. Where an employee in a restriction situation is not eligible for Excess Travelling Time for the time spent in travelling for a recall to duty, the relevant restriction allowance payable under clause 17.6.3 will be paid for the time spent in travelling.
Excess Travelling Time. 12.3.1 At the discretion of Mater, a Medical Officer who is required to travel away from Mater on official business at times outside of their rostered hours of duty, will be paid for that time at the appropriate hourly rate or by agreement provided with time off in lieu (calculated to the nearest fifteen (15) minutes). 12.3.2 The provisions of 12.3.1 will only apply where the Medical Officer is required to travel a distance which is further than they would ordinarily travel from their place of residence to their primary place of work.

Excess Travelling Time. (a) Subject to the provisions of this clause, an employee who is required to report for duty at a place other than their normal place of employment is entitled to TOIL or to be paid for excess travelling time at the appropriate rate in accordance with clause 73.10. (b) An employee who receives a salary that is at or below the first pay point of the Band 2 is entitled to be paid for excess travelling time. (c) An employee who receives a salary in excess of the first pay point of Band 2 and up to the top pay point of the Band 3, is eligible to accrue TOIL that is to be taken within three months or as agreed with the Chief Executive Officer. (d) An employee who receives an allowance in lieu of overtime or extra duty allowance is not eligible for TOIL or payment for excess travelling time. Note: refer to clause 42.8 for TOIL eligibility for Technical Coordinators (e) Payment for excess travelling time does not affect an employee’s entitlement to any other allowance.

Excess Travelling Time. 33.1 For the purposes of this clause the termusual place of work” shall mean: (a) for officers who are required ordinarily to work day by day at the same fixed place of work – the place so fixed by CSIRO; and (b) for officers whose place of work is variable within a specified district – a place within that district fixed by CSIRO. 33.2 An officer in receipt of a salary in excess of the salary applying to CSOF Level 2.M per annum shall not be entitled to payment for excess travelling time. 33.3 Payment will be made for time necessarily spent in travelling, exclusive of overtime duty, in excess of: (a) the officer's ordinary hours of attendance for the day; and (b) the time necessarily spent travelling to and from the officer's usual place of residence and the officer's usual place of work; provided that in the case of officers specified in clause 33.1(b), a minimum time of 20 minutes each way shall apply. 33.4 Payment will be made at the following rates: (a) ordinary rates of pay on Mondays to Saturdays; and (b) time and a half rates on Sundays and public holidays. 33.5 Payment shall not be made unless the excess time exceeds: (a) one half hour in any one day; or (b) two and one half hours in any fortnightly pay period, in the case of an officer whose ordinary hours of attendance are confined to five days of the week; or (c) three hours in any fortnightly pay period, in the case of an officer who performs rostered ordinary duty on six days of the week; nor shall payment be made for more than five hours in any one day.
