Minimum Wage. A. To reflect the University’s desire to ensure living wages for its employees, represented permanent employees in salary ranges with steps below fifteen ($15.00) dollars per hour will be placed at no less than the step nearest fifteen ($15.00) dollars per hour, not to exceed Step L. Probationary employees will be placed two (2) steps below the salary closest to fifteen (15.00) dollars per hour, not to exceed Step X. X. Any employee who has a permanent assigned duty station within a local jurisdiction which has passed an ordinance establishing a minimum wage higher than the minimum wage established in this collective bargaining agreement, will be paid no less than the minimum wage directed by the local ordinance. The University will place the employee on a step in the assigned salary range that is equal to or more than the wage requirement of the local ordinance.
