Ministry Summary. Trinity United Church (TUC) is a family of faith, called by God. We strive to share the diverse gifts God has given us; responding in joy, worship and service to God’s love revealed in Xxxxx Xxxxxx. As a family of God, we are challenged to grow in faith, to reach out and respond to our community and the world, seeking peace and justice for all. TUC is an Affirming Christian congregation that lives out God’s love in worship and service by supporting each other, seeking justice and welcoming the participation of people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, socio-economic statuses, cultural diversity, ages and abilities. TUC is a suburban congregation with just under 1000 people on the roll, 300 families on the mailing list and an average Sunday service attendance of just over 100 congregants. Our congregational age range is infancy to 90+ years of age. The majority of the congregation is estimated to be over 60 years of age. Our catchment area has undergone significant demographic change in the past 15 years. There are many new immigrants who are non-Christian and there are large discrepancies in neighborhood wealth. TUC’s core congregants are aging and moving into assisted living situations. TUC is in a very diverse neighborhood (over 40 different languages are spoken in neighboring schools) and more and more our congregation is reflecting this diverse demographic. Being close to the University of Manitoba, TUC is also in a transient area. Outreach is important and is how we connect with people in our community and in the world. We actively reach out to the community in a myriad of ways. Below is non- exhaustive list of ways we assist, support and interact with our community: Sew and Sews are making baby quilts for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the Heath Sciences Centre XXX has one full-time ordained minister and one Congregational Designated Minister referred to as the Staff Associate. In addition, TUC has a part-time church secretary, a part-time church caretaker, a choir director and a pianist. We strive to make worship meaningful for everyone. Our services typically include music, prayer, scripture readings and messages. We have three music groups with different styles: a traditional choir, a xxxxxx xxxx called Second Chance that performs contemporary Christian and spiritual music approximately once a month at services, and an impromptu group called the Trinity Tones that sings on special occasions and special events when called up...

  • Translator This designation requires successful completion of an assessment (by Red Cross regulated standards). (i) Employees performing in the Translator function will be compensated at the rate of an additional $1.25/hr., and will be compensated at a half day minimum, for example, 1 - 4 hours will receive 4 hours; and, greater than 4 hours (for an 8-hour work day), the premium will apply to all hours an employee works on that day.   • STATEWIDE CONTRACT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM If the maximum amount payable to Contractor under this Contract is $100,000 or greater, either on the Effective Date or at any time thereafter, this section shall apply.   • Central Bargaining Committee (a) In central bargaining between the Canadian Union of Public Employees and the participating hospitals, an employee serving on the Union's Central Negotiating Committee shall be paid for time lost from his normal straight time working hours at his regular rate of pay and without loss of leave credits for attending central negotiating meetings with the Hospitals' Central Negotiating Committee in direct negotiations up to the point of arbitration. In addition, an employee serving on the Union’s Central Negotiating Committee shall be paid for time lost from his normal straight time working hours at his regular rate of pay and without loss of leave credits for two (2) days of preparation time for such central negotiating meetings with the Hospital’s Central negotiating Committee. Upon reference to arbitration, the Negotiating Committee members shall receive unpaid time off for the purpose of attending arbitration hearings. It is understood and agreed that the maximum number of Union Central Negotiating Committee members entitled to payment under this provision shall be eight (8), and in no case will more than one employee from a hospital be entitled to such payment. The Union shall advise the Hospitals' Central Negotiating Committee, before negotiations commence, of those employees to be paid under this provision. The Hospitals' Central Negotiating Committee shall advise the eight (8) Hospitals accordingly. (b) Vice-Presidents of the Ontario Council of Hospital Unions shall be granted leave of absence by their employers in accordance with (a) above or Article 12.02 as the case may be, in order to fulfil the duties of their position.
