Sunday Service. Sunday Service is established outside of the normal workweek of thirty- five (35) hours. Sunday Service work performed by permanent employees is done on a voluntary basis. Employees will indicate, in writing, their interest to work Sunday Service. All work will be assigned on a rotating schedule on the basis of seniority and if the employee is qualified to perform the work. The Employer will notify employees of the availability of Sunday Service shifts and seek expression of interest to work for the defined period of Sunday Service (October through May) no later than August 1st. Each Employee will indicate interest in specific shifts and indicate the maximum number of shifts they desire for the Sunday Service period. Employees will respond no later than August 31st. The assignment list will be posted no later than October 1st. Any errors may be brought to the attention of the Employer within seven (7) days, at which time the list will be deemed to be final. The use of the rotating schedule is effective August 2004. Each shift during the defined period of Sunday Service will be allocated on the basis of seniority and qualifications to do the work. No employee shall be assigned more than one (1) shift during the defined period until all who have expressed interest have been assigned a shift to work. An employee who declines or does not work a shift he or she is assigned will be considered to have been given the opportunity to work and will not be assigned another shift in lieu of the declined or missed shift. All authorized time worked for Sunday Service shall be at the overtime rate of time and one half (1½) times regular time. Employees shall receive, at the discretion of the employee, compensation or time-off for time worked. The Employer may utilize casual employees for Sunday Service and hours worked will be paid at straight time hourly rates. Sunday hours worked by a caretaker which form part of his or her Monday shift shall be considered to be part of the normal workweek and are excluded from this Article.
Sunday Service. 19.01 An employee who is scheduled to work on Sunday shall be paid time and one-quarter (1 1/4) for all scheduled hours. An employee who is scheduled to work on Sunday shall receive two (2) consecutive days off.
Sunday Service. Sunday work is voluntary. An employee covered by this Supplement who works on Sundays will be paid one and one-half (1 1/2) times his/her current hourly rate of pay, for all time worked.
Sunday Service. As part of the service contract for ADA rides, Valley Transit will also provide rides on Sunday to ADA eligible passengers. The service will be provided in the same service area described earlier. The formula for computing Winnebago County’s actual contribution for this ancillary service will be based on the following: Winnebago County Rides x Contract Cost - Federal Share - State Share - Farebox Revenue = Winnebago County's Estimated Ancillary Funding Requirement The basic contract cost for Sunday service (including fuel) is estimated to be $16.77 per ride plus fuel. In 2018, Valley Transit estimates 84 Winnebago County Sunday trips with estimated costs as follows: $ 1,409 Sunday Costs (84 x $16.77) (397) Federal Share (397) State Share (924) Fares (84 x $11.00/ride) $ 265 Local Surcharge (1/3 of Federal plus 1/3 of State Share) $ (44) Estimated funding Here again, actual County costs will be based on actual ridership, contract costs per ride (including fuel surcharge), federal share, state share and fares in 2018. The full percentage of federal and state shares received by Valley Transit for transit funding assistance shall be applied in this formula. All fares received as payment for the Winnebago County service shall also be applied in this formula.

Sunday Service. The Parties agree to make special provision for Sunday Service as follows: The special provisions supercede any conflicting provisions elsewhere in the Collective Agreement. The employer may casual employees for Sunday Service and hours worked will not be subject to the premium rate as per article for these employees. Any permanent full-time or part-time employees scheduled or called- in to work due to Sunday Service shall be paid in accordance with article of the Collective Agreement. During the term of the current Collective Agreement, the Parties will review Sunday Service and may refine the provisions of this letter subject to mutual agreement and ratification by the Parties. Provide for a joint review during the life of the collective Agreement of employee development and job qualifications, with an implementation amount of in year to address associated training and job evaluation impacts. It is understood that any plan developed as a consequence is subject to ratification by the Parties. Sunday Service. It is agreed that the Library Board, at its sole discretion, shall determine the months, if any, between October and May inclusive and the specific Sundays, which shall not include those when the Monday following is a holiday as specified in sub-article 17.01 (a), of Sunday service at branch libraries. As of January 1, 2013, a Sunday staffing schedule will be posted no later than the last day of the month which is two (2) months prior to the month in which Sunday service is to commence. All branch employees who work less than 34.5 hours per week will be eligible to bid for Sunday Service hours, a minimum of three (3) months prior to the commencement of Sunday Service hours. Eligible branch staff will select the branch, date and shift(s). Staff will be assigned on the basis of seniority within the Sunday Service branch then from any other branch in the system. If there are unclaimed Sunday Service shifts, the vacant Sunday Service shifts will be assigned beginning with the most junior person on the seniority list on a rotating basis. Sunday Service hours are additional hours and not incorporated into the timetable. The Library Board is under no obligation to incur any payment of overtime during the work week for employees who have volunteered to work a Sunday Service shift. Probationary employees may be called provided they possess the skill and ability necessary to do the job.
