Nondiscrimination in Employment and Contracting. SUBRECIPIENT agrees to comply with the non-discrimination in employment and contracting opportunities laws, regulations, and executive orders referenced in 24 CFR 570.607, as revised by Executive Order 13279, including 24 XXX Xxxx 0, 00 XXX 570.602 and Section 504 of Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, Executive Order 11063. The applicable non-discrimination provisions in Section 109 of the Housing and Community Development Act (HCDA) are still applicable.

Nondiscrimination in Employment and Contracting. The SUBRECIPIENT and all employees and subcontractors shall comply with the non-discrimination in employment and contracting opportunities laws, regulations, Executive Order 13279 as amended, Executive Order 11246 as amended, and executive orders referenced in 24 CFR 570.607, as amended. The applicable non- discrimination provisions in Section 109 of the HCDA are still applicable. There will be no discrimination against any employee, applicant for employment, or persons served on account of creed, religion, race, color, sex, national origin, age, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, political ideology, ancestry, national origin, familial status, source of income, disability or the presence of any sensory, mental or physical handicap, unless based upon a bona fide occupational qualification in the performance of this AGREEMENT. Such action shall include, but not be limited to the following: employment, upgrading, demotion, or transfer, recruitment or recruitment advertising layoff or termination, rates of pay or other forms of compensation, and selection for training, including apprenticeship.

  • Nondiscrimination in Employment Consultant shall not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment on any basis prohibited by law. Contractor shall provide equal opportunity in all employment practices. Consultants shall ensure that their subcontractors comply with this program. Nothing in this Section shall be interpreted to hold a Consultant liable for any discriminatory practice of its subcontractors.

  • Release of Claims Under Age Discrimination in Employment Act Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, Executive agrees that by executing this Release, he has released and waived any and all claims he has or may have as of the date of this Release for age discrimination under the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, 29 U.S.C. § 621, et seq. While the County reserves the right to determine independently that the anti-discrimination provisions of this Contract have been violated, in addition, a determination by the California Fair Employment Practices Commission or the Federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission that the Contractor has violated Federal or State anti-discrimination laws or regulations shall constitute a finding by the County that the Contractor has violated the anti-discrimination provisions of this Contract. 9.26.8 The parties agree that in the event the Contractor violates any of the anti-discrimination provisions of this Contract, the County shall, at its sole option, be entitled to the sum of Five Hundred Dollars ($500) for each such violation pursuant to California Civil Code Section 1671 as liquidated damages in lieu of terminating or suspending this Contract.

  • Probationary Employment All employees will initially be engaged on a three month probationary period on a Grade as nominated by the employer with monthly reviews during which time the employee's suitability for continued employment will be assessed. During this period the employer undertakes to provide monthly feedback to the employee in terms of the employee's progress. At the end of this three month period or before at the discretion of the employer should performance not be satisfactory the employee's services will be terminated by giving one (1) days notice. Should the employee choose to resign one (1) weeks notice must be provided to the employer. This period can be extended with the mutual agreement of both the employer and employee prior to completion of the probationary period. Upon satisfactory completion of the probationary period, the employee's position will be confirmed in writing
