Nondiscrimination definition

Nondiscrimination. The Contractor, with regard to the work performed by it during the contract, shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, or sex in the selection and retention of sub- contractors, including procurements of materials and leases of equipment. The contractor shall not participate either directly or indirectly in the discrimination prohibited by Section 21.5 of the REGULATIONS, including employment practices when the contract covers a program set forth in Appendix B of the REGULATIONS.
Nondiscrimination. The Fire District agrees that: a. The Fire District shall observe the provisions of the Kansas Act Against Discrimination and shall not discriminate against any person in the performance of work under the present Agreement because of race, religion, color, sex, disability, national origin or ancestry; b. in all solicitations or advertisements for employees, the Fire District shall include the phrase, "equal opportunity employer," or a similar phrase to be approved by the c ommission; c. if the Fire District fails to comply with the manner in which the Fire District reports to the com mission in accordance with the provisions of K.S.A. 44 -1031 and amendments thereto, the Fire District shall be deemed to have breached the pr esent Agreement and it may be cancelled, terminated or suspended, in whole or in part, by the contracting agency; d. if the Fire District is found guilty of a violation of the Kansas Act Against Discrimination under a decision or order of the commission which has become final, the Fire District shall be deemed to have breached the present Agreement and it may be cancelled, terminated or suspended, in whole or in part, by the contracting agency; and e. the Fire District shall include the provi sions of s ubsections (4)(a) through (d) in every sub contract or purchase order so that such provisions will be binding upon such subcontractor or vendor.
Nondiscrimination. The THP-Plus Program shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, religion, political affiliation, gender, mental or physical disability, sexual orientation, or any other basis protected by federal, state or local law, ordinance or regulation.
