Notice of Closure. The Employer shall notify all employees who are to be affected by the permanent closure of the Employer's operation. The amount of notice required prior to the effective date of such closure or pay in lieu thereof shall be based on years of continuous service as outlined below (or such longer period as may be required by legislation): Period of employment Notice period Less than one (1) year One (1) week At least one (1) year and less than three (3) years Two (2) weeks At least three (3) years and less than five (5) years Four (4) weeks At least five (5) years and less than ten (10) years Six (6) weeks At least ten (10) years Eight (8) weeks
