Common use of Notice of Closure Clause in Contracts

Notice of Closure. 28.01 The Company shall notify all employees who are to be affected by the permanent closure of all or any portion of the Company’s operation, sixty (60) working days prior to the effective date of such closure or shall award pay in lieu thereof. In the event Manitoba legislation requires additional notice and pay in lieu of notice be given, such legislation will apply.

Notice of Closure. 28.01 The Company Employer shall notify all employees who are to be affected by the permanent closure of all or any portion of the Company’s Employer's operation, sixty ten (6010) working days prior to the effective date of such closure or shall award pay closure, unless legislation in lieu thereof. In the event Manitoba legislation requires additional notice and pay in lieu of more notice be given. In such event, the Employer will provide notice and severance pay in accordance with such legislation will applylegislation.
