Common use of Notice of Lay-off Clause in Contracts

Notice of Lay-off. In the event of a proposed lay-off at the Hospital of a permanent or long-term nature or the elimination of a position within the bargaining unit, the Hospital shall: provide the Union with no less than five months' written notice of the proposed layoff or elimination of position; and

In the Notice Inthe event of a proposed lay-off layoff at the Hospital of Hospitalof a permanent or long-term nature or the elimination of a position within the bargaining unit, the Hospital shall: provide the Union with no less than five (5) months' written notice of the proposed layoff or elimination of position; andand provide to the affected if any, who will be laid off with no less than five (5) months' written notice of layoff, or pay in lieu thereof.
