Notification of Extension or Rejection. On determining that a probationary employee’s work is not satisfactory, the Fire Chief shall notify the Human Resources Director in writing of his/her intention to extend the employee’s probationary period or reject the employee. After discussion with the Human Resources Director, the Fire Chief shall notify the employee in writing of his/her extension or rejection.
