Notification of jury service. An Employee will notify the Employer as soon as possible of the date upon which they are required to attend for jury service and the expected duration of their absence. Proof of attendance at jury service Where required by the Employer, an Employee will provide to the Employer documentary proof of the Employee’s requirement to attend for jury service, the duration of attendance and any amount received in respect of the jury service. Family Violence Leave ELCWA recognises that Employees sometimes face situations of violence and/or abuse in their personal life that may affect their attendance of performance at work. Therefore ELCWA is committed to providing support to Employees that experience family violence. An Employee experiencing family violence will have access to up to 20 days per year (non-accumulative) of paid special leave for medical appointments, legal proceedings and other activities related to family violence. This leave will be in addition to existing leave entitlements and may be taken as consecutive or single days or as a fraction of a day and can be taken without prior approval. An employee who supports a person experiencing family violence may take Carer's Leave to accompany them to court, to hospital or to mind children. An Employee taking leave under this clause will, if requested, provide evidence to the Employer that would satisfy a reasonable person of the need to take the leave. Such evidence will be kept strictly confidential by the Employer.
