Officers of Instruction a. Officers of Instruction holding the ranks of Instructor, Assistant Professor and Associate Professor shall be evaluated for reappointment, promotion and/or tenure (“RPT”) based upon the candidate’s record of performance in the areas of teaching, advising, scholarship/research/creative work and service. Officers of Instruction holding the ranks of Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor and Clinical Professor shall be evaluated for reappointment and promo- tion based upon the candidate’s record of performance in the assigned areas of teaching, advising, scholarship/research/ creative work and service. In evaluating the candidate’s performance in these areas, reasonable flexibility shall be exer- cised, balancing, where the case requires, heavier assignments and responsibilities in one area against lighter assignments and responsibilities in another. Lecturers shall be evaluated and reviewed for performance as provided for in Article 14, Appointments and Reappoint- ments Without Tenure. Each candidate is expected to be engaged in a program of work that is sound and productive and that can be expected to continue to develop throughout his or her professional career, consistent with the needs and mission of the University. In all instances, excellent intellectual attainment, in accordance with the criteria set forth below, is the standard for reappointment, promotion and/or tenure. Insistence upon this standard for continuing members of the faculty is necessary for the maintenance of quality of the University as an institution dedicated to the discovery, preservation and transmission of knowledge. For Officers of Instruction with multiple appointments, there must be a single department (or college/school) that will be responsible for the professional development and evaluation of a faculty member; for maintaining complete records; for initiating recommendations concerning changes in appointment status; for fiscal responsibility; and for any eventual ten- ure commitment. The responsible department (or college/school) and the nature and extent of the commitment of the other department (s) will be designated at the time of initial appointment or of change of appointment status. The reviews and recommendations of secondary units shall be requested by and reported to the primary department (i.e. the responsible department, college or school) in advance of the primary unit’s decision on the Officer’s reappointment, promotion or tenure.   • Reliance on Instructions The Custodian shall be entitled to rely upon any Instruction, notice or other instrument in writing received by the Custodian and reasonably believed by the Custodian to be genuine and to be signed by an Authorized Person of the Series. Where the Custodian is issued Instructions orally, the Series acknowledge that if written confirmation is requested, the validity of the transactions or enforceability of the transactions authorized by the Series shall not be affected if such confirmation is not received or is contrary to oral Instructions given. The Custodian shall be fully protected in acting in accordance with all such Instructions and in failing to act in the absence thereof. The Custodian shall be under no duty to question any direction of an Authorized Person with respect to the portion of the account over which such Authorized Person has authority, to review any property held in the account, to make any suggestions with respect to the investment and reinvestment of the Assets in the account, or to evaluate or question the performance of any Authorized Person. The Custodian shall not be responsible or liable for any diminution of value of any Assets held by the Custodian or its subcustodians pursuant to Instructions. In following Instructions, the Custodian shall be fully protected and shall not be liable for the acts or omissions of any person or entity not selected or retained by the Custodian in its sole discretion, including but not limited to, any broker-dealer or other entity designated by the Fund or Authorized Person to hold Assets of the account as collateral or otherwise pursuant to an investment strategy.

  • Certificates of Insurance/Notices The Contractor shall provide OGS with a Certificate or Certificates of Insurance, in a form satisfactory to OGS as detailed below (e.g., an XXXXX certificate), after renewal or upon request. Certificates shall reference the award number and shall name The New York State Office of General Services, Procurement Services, 38th Xxxxx, Xxxxxxx Xxxxx, Xxxxxx Xxxxx Xxxxx, Xxxxxx, Xxx Xxxx 00000 as the certificate holder. Certificates of Insurance shall:  Be in the form acceptable to OGS and in accordance with the New York State Insurance Law (e.g., an XXXXX certificate);  Disclose any deductible, self-insured retention, aggregate limit or exclusion to the policy that materially changes the coverage required by this Contract;  Refer to this Contract by award number;  Be signed by an authorized representative of the referenced insurance carriers; and  Contain the following language in the Description of Operations / Locations / Vehicles section: The People of the State of New York, the New York State Office of General Services, any entity authorized by law or regulation to use the Contract and their officers, agents, and employees are included as an additional insured on endorsement CG 20 10 11 85 (or endorsements that provide equivalent coverage, such as the combination of CG 20 10 04 13 (covering ongoing operations) and CG 20 37 04 13 (covering completed operations)), and General liability coverage is provided on the current edition of Commercial General Liability Coverage Form CG 00 01 (or a form that provides equivalent coverage). Additional insured protection afforded is on a primary and non-contributory basis. A waiver of subrogation is granted in favor of the additional insureds. Only original documents (certificates of insurance and any endorsements and other attachments) or electronic versions of the same that can be directly traced back to the insurer, agent or broker via e-mail distribution or similar means will be accepted. OGS generally requires Contractors to submit only certificates of insurance and additional insured endorsements, although OGS reserves the right to request other proof of insurance. Contractors are requested to refrain from submitting entire insurance policies, unless specifically requested by OGS. If an entire insurance policy is submitted but not requested, OGS shall not be obligated to review and shall not be chargeable with knowledge of its contents. In addition, submission of an entire insurance policy not requested by OGS does not constitute proof of compliance with the insurance requirements and does not discharge Contractors from submitting the requested insurance documentation.

  • Non-Instructional Days 4. School Accreditation

  • Deadlines for Providing Insurance Documents after Renewal or Upon Request As set forth herein, certain insurance documents must be provided to the OGS Procurement Services contact identified in the Contract Award Notice after renewal or upon request. This requirement means that the Contractor shall provide the applicable insurance document to OGS as soon as possible but in no event later than the following time periods:  For certificates of insurance: 5 business days  For information on self-insurance or self-retention programs: 15 calendar days  For other requested documentation evidencing coverage: 15 calendar days  For additional insured and waiver of subrogation endorsements: 30 calendar days Notwithstanding the foregoing, if the Contractor shall have promptly requested the insurance documents from its broker or insurer and shall have thereafter diligently taken all steps necessary to obtain such documents from its insurer and submit them to OGS, OGS shall extend the time period for a reasonable period under the circumstances, but in no event shall the extension exceed 30 calendar days.

  • Operating Instructions The Design Professional shall assemble and forward to the Owner all equipment and systems operation and maintenance manuals provided by the Contractor in compliance with the Specifications.

  • SOURCE OF INSTRUCTIONS The Contractor shall neither seek nor accept instructions from any authority external to UNDP in connection with the performance of its services under this Contract. The Contractor shall refrain from any action that may adversely affect UNDP or the United Nations and shall fulfill its commitments with the fullest regard to the interests of UNDP.

  • Drug-Free Workplace Certification As required by Executive Order No. 90-5 dated April 12, 1990, issued by the Governor of Indiana, the Contractor hereby covenants and agrees to make a good faith effort to provide and maintain a drug-free workplace. The Contractor will give written notice to the State within ten (10) days after receiving actual notice that the Contractor, or an employee of the Contractor in the State of Indiana, has been convicted of a criminal drug violation occurring in the workplace. False certification or violation of this certification may result in sanctions including, but not limited to, suspension of contract payments, termination of this Contract and/or debarment of contracting opportunities with the State for up to three (3) years. In addition to the provisions of the above paragraph, if the total amount set forth in this Contract is in excess of $25,000.00, the Contractor certifies and agrees that it will provide a drug-free workplace by:
