On-the-Job Operator Training. (a) Employees shall be designated for on-the-job operator training in writing. (b) Training shall be considered time worked. (c) An employee rejected from the training program will be so informed in writing by the Employer. (d) Unless the employee is under direct supervision, an employee operating equipment at a higher rate shall receive the substitution pay in accordance with Article 27.3. (e) The Parties recognize that continuity of training is important. The Employer shall schedule standardized training so as to provide the required continuity. It is understood that the length of training may vary depending on operator experience, complexity of the equipment, and operational requirements; however, a minimum of three (3) consecutive days will be allowed unless proficiency is achieved sooner.
