Other Leave Provisions. 1. All benefits to which a teacher was entitled at the time a leave of absence commenced shall be restored to the teacher upon return, and the teacher will be assigned to the same or an available substantially equivalent position. 2. A teacher on a leave of absence must notify the Superintendent by March 15th, in the year which the teacher’s leave expires, of the teacher’s intent to return the following September. 3. Leaves of absence may be extended by the School Board. 4. Teachers shall be granted the full amount of sick, personal and emergency leaves at the beginning of each year. Teachers shall be required to reimburse the District on a pro-rated basis if the teacher leaves the District prior to working sufficient days to earn any leave taken.
