Common use of Overtime Break and Lunch Clause in Contracts

Overtime Break and Lunch. ‌ Any employee on overtime shall have one (1) paid, uninterrupted fifteen (15) minute break within each four (4) hours of overtime and one (1) unpaid, uninterrupted one-half (1/2) hour lunch after not more than five (5) hours of overtime.

In such an emergency, the time worked in lieu of breaks and/or lunch shall be added to the total overtime actually worked, at the applicable overtime rate of pay. Any overtime paid hereunder shall be in lieu of any other premium pay.
