Common use of Overtime Breaks Clause in Contracts

Overtime Breaks. When employees are required to work in excess of two continuous hours' overtime immediately before or after completion of their regular shifts, they shall be entitled to paid time off for the purpose of eating, such time to be as stipulated above at regular rates of pay. However, such time will be granted consistent with the efficient operation of the establishment. Employees shall also receive a meal allowance in accordance with Clause 63.
