Common use of Overtime When Paid Clause in Contracts

Overtime When Paid. Employees may be scheduled for shifts up to twelve (12) hours in length. Where an employee is asked to work beyond their scheduled shift the employee will be paid overtime. Where the scheduled shift is less than eight (8) hours the employee will be paid overtime after eight (8) hours of work. Overtime will also be payable where an employee works more than eighty (80) hours in a bi-weekly pay period. Overtime shall not be included in the calculation of group life insurance, sick leave payments, vacation pay and any other employee benefits.
