Common use of Paid Holiday Leave Clause in Contracts

Paid Holiday Leave. Payment for holidays will be made at an employee's basic pay. No employee shall receive holiday pay for a statutory or public holiday unless he has been continuously employed for a period of 30 calendar days immediately preceding the holiday. Except if he is on vacation, or that his absence is due to illness or injury paid by the Employer, to be entitled to the holiday allowance, an employee must work throughout his last scheduled working day immediately preceding the paid holiday and his first scheduled working day immediately following the paid holiday.

Except if he is Regular part-time employees shall receive paid holidays on vacationa pro-rated basis effective January 1, or that his absence is due to illness or injury paid by 2013 provided they have worked 8 days of the Employer, to be entitled to the holiday allowance, an employee must work throughout his last scheduled working day immediately 30 calendar days preceding the paid holiday and his first scheduled working day immediately following the paid holiday.
