If a holiday falls on a scheduledwork day Employees who have completed five thousand six hundred and employees are required to work, they shall receive two and onetwenty-half five (2 times their basic rate (which amount shall include their basic rate5625) with a minimum credit hours of eight (8) hours, except that all hours worked credited in excess continuous service by June 30th of eight (8) hours per day will be paid at an additional one-half (112) times the basic hourly rate. If the holiday falls on a scheduled day off and employees are required to work, they any year shall receive three (3)times their basic rate with a minimum credit of eight (8) hours, except that all hours worked credited in excess of eight (8) hours per day will be paid at an additional one- half (1123) times the basic hourly rate. Further, hours beyond twelve (12) in the day shall be paid at a further additional one-half times the basic hourly rate of the employee. With respect to Article or employees at their own option shall be permitted to add one (1) day off to their annual leave or be given one (1) day off weeks vacation with pay at a six per cent (6%) of their annual earnings. Employees who have completed fifteen thousand (15,000) hours of continuous service by June 30th of any year shall re- ceive four (4) weeks vacation with pay at eight per cent of their annual earnings. Employees who have completed thirty thousand (30,000) hours of continuous service by June 30th in any year, shall receive five (5) weeks vacation with pay at ten percent (10%) of their annual earnings. The final right to determine vacation time is vested in the Employer to ensure ef- ficient operation of the Home. All vacations must be taken by April 30th of the following year, unless mutually agreeable timeagreed between the employee and management. In the event that an employee has been transferred from one department to another after vacation times have been selected in the department to which he is trans- ferred then, for the purpose of selecting vacation times he must give way to those already in that department for that particular year, notwithstanding his departmental seniority. The Employee has the choice of vacation pay before the vacation, or to have it on the normal pay day. Vacation allowance on termination will be as provided for in the Employment Standards Act. SICK AND HEALTH AND WELFARE In lieu of Sick Leave and this Health and Welfare Benefits, part time employees are to receive ten per cent (10%) of their annual earnings, to be paid in addition to any vacation pay and coinci- dent with their vacation pay. When If one of the above holidays listed above falls on a Saturday or a Sunday, non-shift workers shall receive the following working as a holiday in lieu thereof. It is the intent of this Article that an employee is entitled to receive the benefit of a paid holiday only once.
