In-service Committee. As necessary and upon the mutual agreement of the Parties, an in-service committee shall be created. The committee shall consist of not more than four (4) Association members and not more than four (4) Employer representatives. The function of the committee shall be to develop and implement, as needed, training programs related to exempt employees and administrative leave, workload management, and/or performance management/appraisal for managers and/or supervisors of exempt employees and exempt employees.
In-service Committee. Recommendations from teachers, BLT members, and DLT members shall be considered when planning in-service activities for the school year. Scheduled activities must be based on BLT improvement plans, DLT improvement plan, and CCIP goals. Decisions and/or recommendations made by the above mentioned committees may not supersede or contradict with the collective bargaining agreement, unless otherwise mutually agreed upon. If there is an insufficient number of volunteer teachers, it becomes the responsibility of the building principals to select the appropriate number of committee members from their respective buildings. All meetings will take place during the school year with release time provided for all committee members, when deemed appropriate by the principal upon request from the committee. Committee members will determine content and format of the in-service sessions. The committee's plan, with scheduled release time, is to be submitted to the Ohio Department of Education in order to receive approval for waivers on required length of school day and/or total number of days required for students.
In-service Committee. Subd.
14.4.1. An in-service committee is hereby established to work with the Superintendent to establish a yearly in-service schedule and associated duty day requirements, and to allocate budgeted funds contemplated by this article. The committee membership will be composed of three (3) persons appointed by the Superintendent and three (3) persons appointed by the Principals Association. The Principals Association members shall include a representative from the elementary and secondary groups. The role of committee chair shall alternate on a yearly basis between the Association and District representatives.
In-service Committee. A teacher committee composed of members from each building will work with the Superintendent or his designee in planning in-service days, four whole and five half days, recertification programs, and their placement on the school calendar.
In-service Committee. In order to meet the needs of its employees, an in-service committee will be formed to work with the District in designing in-service opportunities.
In-service Committee. A. Inservices will be committee-driven by the various curriculum committees and SIP teams within the District.
B. The Association may recommend to the District topics for after school courses, workshops, conferences, and programs designed to improve the quality of instruction.
In-service Committee. The FUSE and the District agree that short courses and workshops for staff delivered during unpaid time improve professional abilities. It is agreed that a committee be set up to determine partial in-service credit for such courses and workshops. The committee shall consist of two (2) members designated by the Superintendent and two (2) members designated by the FUSE. This committee shall make recommendations to the Superintendent by from time to time.
In-service Committee. An Inservice Education Committee composed of an Association Representative for each elementary, junior high, and senior high building, and an xxx.xx number of . Administrative Representatives shall be established.
1. The Committee shall plan and conduct In-Service Education activities.
2. The equivalent of one (1) student day In-Service training shall be provided for each teacher on a work day, provided at least one thousand 0,000) student hours of attendance are scheduled.
In-service Committee a. An in-service training committee shall consist of four members appointed by the Administration and four members appointed by the Association. The in-service training committee shall review and evaluate all in- service Project Proposals. The committee shall meet at least monthly during the school year unless mutually agreed otherwise.
b. Project Proposals must be signed off by the unit head and FWEA building representative before submission to the committee.
In-service Committee. 1. A joint in-service day committee shall be established with the purpose of determining the most efficient use of in-service training and scheduling these days at the most suitable times for all concerned.
2. The committee shall be known as the “In-Service Committee” and shall be structured as follows:
a. The HCTA president or his/her designee and the Superintendent and his/her designee shall serve as the committee chairperson.
b. The HCTA president may appoint one (1) member from each building in the district.
c. The Superintendent may appoint up to four (4) other members consisting of the Curriculum Specialist, building principals and any other administrator designated by the Superintendent.
3. The committee shall meet no more than five (5) times during the year at times that will permit the committee to schedule all in-service days most suitably and determine the most appropriate subject matter for each meeting. The Administration reserves the right to determine major topics of the professional development day(s).
