Common use of Part-Time Eligibility Clause in Contracts

Part-Time Eligibility. A-8.01 Part-time employees who average twenty-four (24) hours or more per week in a three (3) month period including paid sick leave and general holiday pay, will be eligible to participate in the group life insurance, long term disability, dental and extended health care insurance plans provided by the Co-operative. If an employee's weekly hours should drop below an average of twenty-four (24) hours over a three (3) month period including paid sick leave and general holiday pay, then the employee may be dropped from said plans at the discretion of the Co-operative. Eligibility will not be affected by any approved leave of absence pursuant to this contract.
