v) Once commitment for regular part-time “A” employees on the unit has been met the Employer will offer additional tours to fill out an regular part-time “Availability Calendar”. Each B” employees on the unit equitably, first to the most senior regular part-time “B” employee not scheduled up to their commitment and in descending order of seniority.
vi) Once commitment for regular part-time “A” and “B” employees on the unit has been met, the Employer will develop its own Availability Calendar. Such calendar must be submitted offer additional tours to regular part-time employees on the unit equitably and by the second Monday following the posting of the work schedules and must cover the same six (6) week period as the posted work schedules. Each nurse is responsible for the completion of his/her own Availability Calendar and failure to properly complete an “Availability Calendar” may result seniority in the nurse not being offered tours up following manner: • To part-time “A” employees; • To part-time “B” employees; • To job sharers; • To casual employees; And subject to her/his commitment. A) Employees who wish to be offered considered for additional tours are required must indicate so in the manner prescribed by the Employer;

(c) Regular part-time and job share nurses form other units who are qualified to perform the work who have indicated an availability for additional shifts on that unitplaced;
(dC) When regular part-timeand job share nurses are not available or all regular part-time and job sharers would be in a premium payment situation, then casual part-time nurses xxxxx be called in accordance with their availability. It is understood that the Hospital Employer will not be required to offer tours, tours which would result results in overtime premium pay. Shifts will be deemed to have been offered whenever ; and

When all regular part-time nurses on a Unit have been scheduled up to their commitment, the Hospital will offer additional unscheduled tours to regular part-time nurses, in the following order:

(d) When regular part-timeand job share time nurses are not available on a unit have been given the opportunity to work up to their commitment, referred to in Article B-7 the Hospital will endeavour to offer additional hours or all shifts to regular part-time and job sharers would be in a premium payment situationnurses on the unit on the basis of seniority, then prior to offering hours or shifts to casual part-time nurses xxxxx nurses, subject to the following:
i) Nurses who wish to be called considered for additional tours must indicate their availability in accordance with their availability. the manner prescribed by the hospital.

(c) When regular part-time and job share nurses are not available or all regular part-time and job sharers would be in a premium payment situation, then casual part-time nurses shall be called in accordance with their availability and seniorityexisting hospital practice.
vi) Tour(s) worked on a unit other than a nurses’ home unit, will count toward a nurses’ commitment. It is understood that the Hospital will not be required a nurse must report to offer tours, which would result in overtime premium pay. Shifts will be deemed to their home unit that they have been offered whenever worked tour(s) on a call is placed. *Equitably for these purposes is defined as first ensuring all regular part-time are scheduled to four shifts per pay period, then fifteen shifts over the six week schedule. Part-time Scheduling. Regular (a) A regular part time employee must be available as required by the Hospital to work assigned scheduled shifts. Her or his commitment will include the following:
i) to be available to work two (2) weekends out of four (4);
ii) to be available to work two (2) shifts per week and must be prepared to work an additional shift if required;
iii) to work as required during the five (5) day period over Christmas or New Year's.
(b) Prior to the schedule being posted, the Employer agrees to schedule available shifts to regular part time employees as equitably as possible on the unit on the basis of seniority.

(d) Regular part-time and job share nurses on Employees, who wish to be considered for additional shifts above the minimum commitment identified above, must indicate their own Unit,
(b) Job Sharers will be offered additional tours only when availability to work hours in excess of their partner is not workingcommitment in writing to their Clinical Director. In addition, unless no other any regular part-time nurse is availableEmployee who does not wish to be called for additional shifts must put their desire not to be called in, and,in writing to their Clinical Director. Such request may be submitted once every three (3) months and will remain in effect for the following three (3) month period.

(ag) Availability and seniority on their own Unit,It is understood, that for the purposes of this article, the services will be defined as follows: - ER, Float, OR, ICU, Mental Health, North, East/Obs, Palliative Care, Nursing Resource Team, Hemodialysis.
(b1) Job Sharers will be offered additional tours only when It is agreed that casual employees must provide the hospital by December 1st of each year with their partner availability for work either Christmas’ week or New Year’s week.
(2) It is not working, unless no other regular agreed that casual employees must provide by May1st of each year their availability for work at least ten (10) days during the months of July and August.
(3) Casual part-time nurse is availableemployees will declare, and,on a monthly basis, their availability for work for the following month.
(c4) When regular part-time and job share nurses are not available or all regular part-time and job sharers would be in a premium payment situation, then A casual part-time nurses employee shall notify the hospital as soon as a change becomes known.
(5) A casual part-time employee with no availability to work during a period of six (6) months will be called in accordance with given the option to resign otherwise he/she will be terminated unless the employer agrees that there is a special circumstances.
(6) Casual part-time employees who do not give their availability and seniority. It is understood that to work by the Hospital will not be required to offer tours, which would result in overtime premium pay. i) Employees who wish to be offered considered for additional tours are required to must indicate their availability on their “Availability Calendar”. v) There is no responsibility for the caller or Hospital to wait for an answer. Shifts The nurse must give her/his answer when called. (This does not prevent a nurse from attempting to make arrangements required in order to be able to accept the shift and calling back to the Hospital to see if the shift is still available).
vi) Notwithstanding the above, where a part time nurse had a scheduled shift cancelled and a need arises whereby the Hospital intends to call a nurse in for the same cancelled shift, the nurse who has had her/his shift cancelled will be deemed given the opportunity to have been offered whenever work that call-in shift.
vii) When known at the time of call in that a full weekend is available, the call is placed. *Equitably for these pruposes is defined as first ensuring all regular part-time are scheduled to fifteen shifts over in shall include the six week schedule. If there are an uneven number of shifts then seniority shall be the determining factorfull weekend. When all regular part-time nurses a single shift call in on a weekend is done, should a second shift on the same weekend become available it will be first offered to the nurse who has accepted the single shift provided no premium pay is incurred as a result.
(e) Provided they are qualified, employees may submit their availability to work additional tours on more than one unit. Unit have been scheduled up to their commitment, managers shall determine the Hospital need for employees with additional availability considering the needs of the individual patient care unit. These employees will offer additional unscheduled tours to regular part-time nurses, be considered in the following order:
(ai) Availability and seniority Regular Part Time on their own the Unit,;
(bii) Job Sharers will be offered additional tours only when their partner is not working, unless no other regular part-time nurse is available, and,on the Unit;
(ciii) When regular part-time and job share nurses Regular Part Time off the Unit who are not available or all regular part-time and job sharers would be in a premium payment situation, then casual part-time nurses shall be called in accordance with their availability and seniority. It is understood that on the Hospital will not be required to offer tours, which would result in overtime premium pay. Shifts will be deemed to have been offered whenever a units call is placed. *Equitably for these purposes is defined as first ensuring all regular part-time list;
iv) Job Sharers off the Unit who are scheduled to four shifts per pay period, then fifteen shifts over on the six week schedule. If there are an uneven number of shifts then seniority shall be units call list; v) Casuals on the determining factorUnit.

(I) casual nurses at overtime Once all shifts have been offered to nurses at their home site, shifts will be offered on the same basis to nurses at alternate sites who have indicated their willingness to work at alternate sites to human resources and/or staffing.
vi) The Employer will endeavour to schedule all available Day shifts equitably among the part-time staff at their respective site and job share nurses are not available or all regular unit.
vii) For the purpose of clarification, if the part-time and job sharers nurse has not yet reached seventy-five (75) hours worked, she/he would be in a premium payment situation, then casual part-time nurses shall be called in accordance with their availability entitled to the tour and seniority. It the Employer is understood that the Hospital will not be required to offer tourssplit the tour to prevent overtime from incurring, which would result in overtime thereby triggering the above method of premium pay.
