Four Hour Tours of Duty. The Hospital and the Association agree to the scheduling of four (4) hour tours of duty for part-time Nurses working at Leamington District Hospital. A four-hour tour will consist of four (4) paid hours which shall be inclusive of one (1) fifteen (15) minute paid break period. The scheduling of four (4) hour tours shall comply with all of the scheduling provisions contained in Article J & K of Appendix 5. In the event a Nurse is authorized to work beyond the scheduled four (4) hour tour, premium pay in accordance with Article 14 of the Central Collective Agreement will not apply until after 7.5 hours of work have been completed by the Nurse. On any unit where four (4) hour tours are scheduled, the Letter of Understanding regarding part-time scheduling will be applied so that all available regular part-time nursing hours are divided equally among the regular part-time Nurses on that unit. No Nurse shall be scheduled to work solely on four (4) hour tours in any pay period, unless agreed to by the Nurse. The Hospital will notify the Union and provide specifics of the proposed schedule prior to the posting of a four-hour tour schedule on any unit.

And whereas the parties do not wish to proceed to Local Issues Arbitration on the referenced issues; The parties hereby agree to settle the negotiation dispute for the above-referenced proposals pursuant to the decision of the Local Issues Arbitration Board being chaired by Xxxxxx Where the aforementioned issues are decided on by the Arbitration Board, the parties will agree to the awarded language for inclusion in the Appendix 5 Local Issue as new Articles as and respectively; Where the Arbitration Board does not decide the issue, the Union will withdraw the proposal.   • Hours of Duty (a) The prescribed hours of duty may be worked with flexible commencement and finishing times in accordance with the provisions of this clause. (b) For the purpose of leave, public holidays and days in lieu of the repealed Public Service Holidays, a day shall be credited as 7.5 hours.

  • Tour of Duty A tour of duty means the authorized and/or approved time worked by an employee during the day, as defined in Articles 15.1, 15.1.1 and 15.4 calculated to the end of the last quarter (¼) hour in which work was performed. If a tour of duty extends beyond 2400 hours it shall be considered as falling wholly within the calendar day in which it started.

  • Hour Shifts When the Employer deems it necessary to implement a twelve (12) hour work day, affected employees shall be notified pursuant to Clause 14.05. The following Clauses shall be replaced or added to the Collective Agreement where appropriate.

The Building Principal, as authorized by the Superintendent, upon request of a teacher or group of teachers, may waive the requirement to remain fifteen (15) minutes after the school day for a specific day or days. It is recognized; however, that the proper performance of their duties may, on occasion, require these persons to work longer than the normal work day, i.e. for conferences, faculty meetings, department meetings, etc. Therefore, “mandatory meetings will occur two times per month and be no longer than 90 minutes in length, inclusive of the additional 15 minutes beyond the scheduled student school day. A schedule of the meetings will be distributed by June 30th of the previous school year, but may be changed at the discretion of the Principal with 48 hours’ notice.” Teachers will also remain at school after the fifteen (15) minutes described above, during one (1) day each calendar week for such periods of time as is necessary to provide students extra help, and/or to meet with parents or guardians, concerning the progress of their children or wards. No teacher shall be required to work more than a normal seven and one- quarter (7 ¼) hour day, including fifteen (15) minutes before and (15) minutes after the students’ school day, which will include uninterrupted prep time; this provision does not apply to other contractually agreed upon time and meetings. Should state law require a longer instructional day, or more days, the teachers shall work the added time and the parties shall immediately commence impact bargaining on the issue. This article does not purport to cover the arrival and departure time of teachers involved in special assignments. Section 2 Other Personnel Personnel other than classroom teachers will work at their assigned tasks for the length of the regular teachers' work day. The exact daily schedule will be worked out on an individual basis between the Administration and the employee with notification to the Association. Instructional Coaches are required to work an additional five (5) days at their per diem rate, beyond the work year for a total of 189 days. These days will be determined prior to the start of the new school year and at the discretion of the Superintendent and the Chief Academic Officer.
