Common use of Pay During Temporary Assignments Clause in Contracts

Pay During Temporary Assignments. (a) When an employee is required to perform the duties of any higher position for a period in excess of one and one-half (1 1/2) hours in one (1) day, the corresponding rate of pay for such higher position shall be paid for the whole period during which time duties at the higher level are performed. (b) When an employee is temporarily assigned responsibilities of a lower position in the bargaining unit, such employee shall be paid their regular rate of pay for that time.
