Pay for Overtime. Management will pay overtime at the rate of time and one-half for all hours worked over eight (8) on any one day or for all hours worked over forty (40) in any one work week except as provided in the next sentence. Management will pay overtime at the rate of time and one-half for all hours worked over ten (10) on any one day for all hours worked over forty (40) in any one work week for employees normally scheduled on a four (4) day forty (40) hour work week as provided in Section 1, except as provided in the following paragraph. A. When an employee is required by Management to receive training that was not required as a condition of employment, the cost of such training as well as expenses such as travel or lodging attendant thereto, shall be paid by the City. The employee shall continue to receive their normal hourly rate of pay at straight time for all hours during which training is conducted. In no event shall an employee receive overtime payment at the rate of time and one-half for time spent being trained, provided however, that training required for employees in the classification of Aircraft Rescue Firefighters and Airport Security Officers shall be considered to be a condition of employment. Such training for Airport Security Officers who are scheduled and who work for a number of hours in excess of the hours set forth in the preceding paragraph, shall be compensated at the rate of time and one- half. Such training for Aircraft Rescue Firefighters, who are scheduled and who work for a number of hours in excess of the hours set forth in Article 1 of the Aircraft Rescue Firefighter Supplemental Agreement attached hereto, shall be compensated at the overtime rate established in said Supplemental Agreement. B. The City shall pay overtime no later than the second pay day following the week in which overtime hours were worked.
