Payment for Pre-Construction Services Clause Samples
The Payment for Pre-Construction Services clause defines the terms under which a contractor or consultant is compensated for services provided before actual construction begins. This typically covers activities such as site analysis, design development, budgeting, and obtaining permits, with payment structures often based on fixed fees, hourly rates, or milestone achievements. By clearly outlining payment obligations for these early-stage services, the clause ensures that service providers are fairly compensated for preparatory work and helps prevent disputes over payment before the main construction contract is executed.
