Common use of Per Diem No Differential Clause in Contracts

Per Diem No Differential. A nurse will be classified as a Per Diem 7 No Differential if unable to commit to the availability for work requirements of a 8 Per Diem. However, the nurse shall agree to work with sufficient frequency as 9 determined by the Unit Based Practice Council and Nurse Manager to maintain 10 the skills of their position. The minimum unit specific work requirements will be 11 maintained in writing and provided to the Per Diem Nurse. These work 12 requirements may be modified by mutual agreement between the nurse and 13 Nurse Manager based upon the individual skills and competencies of the Per 14 Diem Nurse. A Per Diem no differential nurse is not eligible to receive a pay 15 differential in lieu of benefits, unless they choose to change their Per Diem status 16 as described in Section 3.6.7. The PNCC in conjunction with the unit Nurse 17 Manager, will offer assistance to units that do not have a functioning Unit Based 18 Council in developing guidelines.
