Per Diem Nurses 550. If per diem nurses are required to move from one City location to another during normal working hours, they shall have access to Municipal Railway passes as necessary.
Per Diem Nurse A nurse in a nursing position who does not qualify as a classified staff nurse. Employment will conform to the rules on temporary employment. Per diem nurses are temporary employees not covered by the terms of this labor agreement. The Association will be provided with quarterly reports on the use of per diem nurses used by unit and number of hours for the period covered by the report.
Teaching Staff Assigned to More Than One Building Each Educator who is assigned to more than one building will be evaluated by the appropriate administrator where the individual is assigned most of the time. The principal of each building in which the Educator serves must review and sign the evaluation, and may add written comments. In cases where there is no predominate assignment, the superintendent will determine who the primary evaluator will be.
Casual Nurses i) It is understood that casual Nurses do not have normal hours of work. All assignments for the next day will be faxed by the office by 1630h.

Registered Nurses Requests for a different shift in the nurse's present unit should be submitted to the nurse's immediate supervisor in writing. Requests for transfer to another unit should be submitted on the University’s Employment Website. A good faith effort will be made to facilitate lateral transfers from one unit to another. The nurse's length of service shall be a consideration on transfer to a different shift or unit. Applications for promotions should be submitted on the University’s Employment Website during the period of official posting. Promotional openings will be posted for a minimum of seven calendar days in the unit, the Nursing and Outpatient Clinic Administrative Office and the Medical Centers Human Resources Office.

Casual Nurse is a Nurse in an employment relationship which is not regular. A Casual Nurse may be offered work as outlined in this Agreement. The Employer may offer work to a Casual Nurse at the Employer’s discretion subject to the provisions of the Collective Agreement. Once a Casual Nurse accepts a work assignment including a scheduled extra shift, a relief shift, a Temporary Position, a period of Stand-By or a Call Back during a Stand-By, the Casual Nurse is obligated to work. Except where specifically excluded, the provisions of the Collective Agreement apply to a Casual Nurse.
Enrolled Nurse (With Notation Pay point 1 (a) Pay point 1 refers to the pay point to which an enrolled nurse (EN) has been appointed. (b) An employee will be appointed based on training and experience including: having satisfactorily completed a hospital based course of training in nursing of not more than 12 months duration leading to enrolment as an EN; or having satisfactorily completed a course of training of 12 months duration in a specified branch of nursing leading to enrolment on a register or roll maintained by a state/territory nurses registration board; and having practical experience of up to but not more than 12 months in the provision of nursing care and/or services, and, the undertaking of in-service training, subject to its provision by the employing agency, from time to time. Outpatient Dental Anesthesia Services This plan covers anesthesia services received in connection with a dental service when provided in a hospital or freestanding ambulatory surgical center and: • the use of this is medically necessary; and • the setting in which the service is received is determined to be appropriate. This plan also covers facility fees associated with these services.
