Compensatory Day. In the event an employee is required to work on a holiday, or the day it is observed, the employee shall be entitled to a compensatory day or office employees shall be entitled to additional payment at his/her hourly rate for hours worked on the holiday.
Compensatory Day. The Employer may schedule the compensatory day off within ninety (90) days of the holiday worked at the mutual convenience of the employee and the Employer. If no mutually agreed upon day off is scheduled, in the next thirty (30) days the Employer will schedule a compensatory day off or pay the employee his/her regular daily rate in lieu of the compensatory day.
Compensatory Day. Each bargaining unit member will receive one compensatory day to be used during each year of the negotiated agreement. If not used, the day will roll over to sick leave. (This will not apply against your attendance bonus.) The parameters of Article 10 Section D.1. a. and b. will apply.
Compensatory Day. An Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) who works a “full day” beyond his/her regular work week shall be granted a Comp Day for said day worked provided that the APN notifies his/her supervisor in writing of the operational necessity to work beyond his/her regular work week and receives the supervisor’s prior approval to do so. For the purpose of this provision, a “full day” shall be defined as the employee’s regular daily hours of work. Comp Days may not be earned fractionally.
Compensatory Day. Compensatory Day. Employees shall use accrued compensatory time prior to using accrued vacation time. Foreworker IIIs are not eligible for compensatory time. All hours worked by Foreworker IIIs on off duty days or beyond the scheduled hours on a normal workday shall be compensated as follows:
A. Time worked in excess of forty (40) hours in a scheduled workweek or eight (8) or ten (10) hours in a scheduled workday shall be compensated at one and one half (1 ½) times the existing straight time rate of pay for all actual overtime worked. All hours worked on the employee’s regular days off (RDOs) shall be compensated as follows:
1. All hours worked on the first scheduled day off (RDO) shall be compensated at one and one half (1.5x) times the existing straight time rate.
2. All hours worked on the second regular day off (RDO) after working the first regular day off (RDO), shall be compensated at two (2) times the existing straight time rate.
3. All hours worked on the third regular day off (RDO) (for 4 10 Plan) after working the first and second regular days off (RDO), shall be compensated at two (2) times the existing straight time rate.
B. Pursuant to the parties’ collective bargaining that resulted in MOU- 10, dated 7 April 2006, the parties acknowledge the following:
1. Employees in the classifications Train Controller and Power & Way Controller have elected to receive monetary compensation OR compensatory time at one and one half (1.5x) their rate of pay when they work overtime. There will be NO double time paid if they work their 2nd RDO (or 3rd RDO if they work a 4-10 schedule) after having worked the 1st RDO; and
2. Employees in the classifications Senior Central Maintenance Supervisor and Central Maintenance Supervisor have elected to receive monetary compensation at one and one half time (1.5x) their rate of pay when they work overtime on their first (1st) RDO and monetary compensation at double their rate of pay if they work on their 2nd RDO (or 3rd RDO if they work a 4-10 schedule). This is applicable ONLY after the employee has worked overtime on their 1st RDO. These classifications will not be eligible to receive compensatory time. All affected classifications will be paid at one and one half (1.5x) for all hours worked in excess of eight (8) hour and/or ten (10) hour work days (5-8s or 4-10s) and in excess of a forty (40) hour week, including holidays if the employee works the holiday.

Compensatory Day. An employee shall be assigned a workweek which shall consist of five (5) consecutive workdays within a seven (7) day period and two (2) consecutive days off. A workday for Foreworker IlIs, Transportation Operations Supervisors, and Transportation Senior Operations Supervisors shall consist of eight (8) consecutive hours of work with a scheduled starting time inclusive of meal periods and breaks. All other employees are entitled to an unpaid lunch break of forty five (45) minutes duration which shall extend the consecutive hours of work by that amount of time except where this agreement otherwise expressly provides. When any employee is assigned to a shift, he/she shall not thereafter be assigned to another shift which does not permit the employee at least eleven (11) hours elapsed time from the end of the previous work assignment, including overtime. Subject to other provisions of this Agreement governing choice of shifts, notice of changes in shift assignment shall be given as far in advance as practicable.
Compensatory Day. When a holiday falls on an employee's scheduled day off, or an employee works on a holiday, equivalent time off will be granted within a time mutually agreed to, at a time convenient to the employee and consistent with the Employer's operational needs.
Compensatory Day. One day per contract year through the duration of this contract may be used as a day of flexible inservice subject to the following conditions:
1. The compensatory day must be earned no later than 31 days prior to the designated flexible inservice day.
2. Workshops or courses taken for credit do not apply.
3. Workshops or courses for which the professional receives monetary compensation do not apply.
4. The professional must file for the exemption no later than two (2) weeks after completing the workshop, course or other activity and at least thirty (30) days prior to the designated in-service day.
5. Documentation verifying attendance of the activity must be submitted to the Assistant Superintendent. Documentation shall include a one-page summary of the day’s activities or certificates of attendance.
6. The compensatory day must be used on the designated flexible inservice day. The designated flexible inservice day will be scheduled between October 1 and May 30 of each year by the Superintendent.
