Common use of Personal Leave Cash-Out Clause in Contracts

Personal Leave Cash-Out. At the option of the certificated employee, the District will cash out up to two (2) personal leave days at a rate of 25% of the individual employee’s per diem rate. The cash-out option is only available to employees who have an accumulated balance of more than three (3) personal leave days at the end of the school year and who would, in the absence of the cash-out, lose one or two personal days (as carryover is limited to three days). The calculation will be made at the end of the school year, and payment will be made in the July payroll check.
