PERSONNEL REDUCTION. The City, in its discretion, shall determine whether layoffs are necessary. In case of a personnel reduction, the Employer shall follow the procedures set forth by Illinois statute (65 ILCS 5/10 - 2.1-1 et seq.) and as administered by the Board of Police and Fire Commission Rules and Regulations.

PERSONNEL REDUCTION. The City, in its discretion, shall determine whether layoffs are necessary. In case of a personnel reduction, the Employer shall follow the procedures set forth by Illinois statute (65 ILCS 5/10 - 2.1-1 et seq.) and as administered by the Board of Police and Fire Commission Rules and Regulations. Employees who are laid off shall be placed on a recall list for a period of one (1) year. Employees will be recalled in the inverse order that they were laid off.
